How do I return an item?

Return Policy

Before sending any item back for return, please contact us for an RMA (Returned Material Authorization) number. You must have an RMA number to insure that you will receive credit when we receive your item back.

You may return most* new, unused items in resalable condition (this means that the item is in its original and unopened retail packaging, and shows no signs of use, installation, or damage) purchased from The Christmas Tree Storage Shop for a full refund. You are responsible for the return shipping costs, as well as insuring the package against loss or damage in transit. Upon receipt of the item in resalable condition, we will issue a full refund for the cost of the product. (Please note: if you paid any shipping charges for expedited shipping on your order, we will not be able to refund those shipping costs).

*Please note that some items on our website are not returnable (for example, fresh cut Christmas trees). If a product has a special, product-specific return policy, that information will be clearly stated in bold on the Product Detail Page. If you have any questions or concerns about a specific product's return policy, please contact us before you place your order.

If you send back an item that is not in resalable condition, we will make a determination on a case-by-case basis as to the amount of refund to apply. For items that can be made resalable again (for example, if the packaging needs to be replaced), you will likely be refunded less a restocking fee. Restocking fees can range from 25% to 50%, depending on the situation. For items that cannot be made resalable again (for example, they are missing parts, have been used or installed, or are damaged), you may receive no refund. All shipments that are refused delivery will be refunded LESS the actual shipping charges that we have incurred (for an esimate of shipping charges on an item-by-item basis, please contact us).

If you have a warranty-related problem with your product, we will repair the product, replace the product, or issue a refund, at our discretion.

Shipping Policy

All products will be shipped within 3 to 4 business days of order placement, except where noted on the product description page. Our products ship from different locations via different shipping methods. If you have questions about shipping or delivery time for specific products, please contact us.

We offer free ground shipping on all orders being shipped to destinations within the contiguous United States (lower 48 states). We do not ship outside the contiguous United States ( lower 48 states).

We may occasionally be out of stock on a particular item. If you have already placed an order for an item that is out of stock, we will attempt to notify you as soon as we become aware of that product shortage.
