Description   Own this product? Write a review! The Tree Fountain Christmas tree watering system makes it easy to keep your live Christmas tree watered all season long. Simply provide your own 2 liter bottle, filling it with water and placing it upside down in the base, and the Tree Fountain will do the rest! Here's how it works: The Tree Fountain base holds a 2 liter soda bottle upside down. The nose of the bottle is suspended exactly 1-1/2" above the floor. Why 1-1/2"? Because this is a dimension that will work with over 95% of Christmas tree stands on the market. There is also a pool of water in the base of the Tree Fountain. Water from the bottle will flow from the hose into your Christmas tree stand reservoir, automatically filling it to the same height, 1-1/2" above the floor. Once the water in the tree stand reaches this height, it will stop flowing. This is because the pool of water in the Tree Fountain's base will cover the nose of the bottle, preventing air from entering the bottle, and thus preventing any additional water from flowing out. This simple principle ensures that your tree stand and Tree Fountain will never overflow onto your floor. To summarize: The Tree Fountain watering system will refill your Christmas tree stand in a 2 step process. First, the Tree Fountain fills your Christmas tree stand to a 1-1/2" depth. Then the soda bottle refills the Tree Fountain's base to the same 1-1/2" depth. This process will repeat itself, over and over, constantly maintaining that same 1-1/2" water depth until there is no water left in the soda bottle.
